this week.

  1. Not having to wear compression stockings - I had my two week follow up this morning and I've finally been given the go ahead to take off my compression stockings.  Hurrah!
  2. Chinese takeaway - the boyfriend was a real sweetheart on Saturday and ran out to get us some Chinese food.  He's a keeper.
  3. Evangelion: 2.0 - we started watching the NGE series on YouTube and picked up one of the films in the HMV sale.  It left us both with that slight 'what just happened?' feeling that so often accompanies the final moments of an anime, but it was very good none the less!
  4. My Lego VW Campervan - this was a present from my amazing parents!  It took me about a day and a half to put the thing together.  I can't get over how detailed it is!  I'll have to take photos as soon as the light permits.
  5. The Postal Service tickets - I don't know how I managed to do it, but I managed to snag two tickets for the boy and I to see The Postal Service live in May!  I was so thrilled at the time that I had a little cry.  Just last month we agreed that this would be our dream gig, but we didn't think they would ever tour again.  So stoked!

this week.

I was in a miserable mood on Sunday, so here is my belated list:
  1. My boyfriend - I'm struggling to do much for myself at the moment, and things like cooking are out of the question, so the fact that he's there to look after me, and the fact that he doesn't moan about it, is pretty amazing.
  2. Painkillers - 'nuf said!
  3. My thick slipper socks - they're keeping my feet warm AND they have non-slip pads.
  4. The new series of Being Human - I'm so glad this is back on TV.  Even though the original three cast members have been replaced, I think the new series is going to be good.
  5. Having parcels in the post - we have some surprise bits and bobs on the way and I also have some things to pick up from the office when I'm back at work.  Exciting!

february goals.

  1. Have a go at using my new sewing machine (squee!).
  2. Stay on course with my physio exercises.
  3. Watch the latest series of The Guild.
  1. What with the snow/surgery I didn't get to try something from Nigellissima, but we have been using our new slowcooker which is equally as exciting.
  2. Well, I'm on crutches and the flat is trip-hazard-free, so I'd say that this one is in the bag!
  3. The light hasn't been great for photography this month, but I did get more than two good shots of the new Figma that I got for Christmas.  I also took some of Samus that are still being edited.
