march goals.

  1. Go up to Cambridgeshire to see the folks.  I haven't been up since Christmas.
  2. Start to sort out my wardrobe.
  3. Try a ramen recipe from the Wagamama cookbook.

  1. I'm completely in love with my new sewing machine, it's everything I wanted it to be.  It's making my current project a lot easier to manage.
  2. I feel like I'm getting stronger every day, although I need to improve my flexion.
  3. I know I spent a good few weeks at home with not much to do, but I wasn't really feeling up to watching The Guild.  Perhaps I need to book myself a self-indulgent day off work and watch it while I sew.

crafty photo scavenger hunt - february 13.

1 - Something I Made.

Seeing as I spent most of February unable to do much, this is the closest to 'making' something that I got!  It was a surprise gift from my parents to keep my occupied while I recovered.

2 - Inspiration.

I knew I'd have to make something with this fabric, and it's really giving me much needed drive to work on my project.

3 - Baking.

Some of my supplies!  Very much looking forward to seeing what I can produce with these goodies.

4 - New.

As my first sewing machine looked a bit like a child's toy, I thought I should invest in a proper machine for my new quilting project.  I've taken it for a spin, and I think it might be love!

5 - Motifs:  Triangles.

I really struggled with this one, I don't have any clothes with a triangle print, and I don't have much geometric jewellery.  Then I remembered that the boy had recently bought an art book about Zelda.  Definitely one of the most iconic triangles out there.

crafty photo scavenger hunt - january 13 favourites.

February has been a bit of a write off for me, so my apologies for having only just put my favourites up.  I'm back at work full time now after my surgery, and I'm back at choir too, but I now have physio twice a week in the morning before work, and it's a bit of a killer.

So, without further ado...

1 - Something I Made. - Emma @ The Gift Shed

I really love notebooks, but I never know what I'd put in them!  I always fear that my handwriting is too messy if the notebook is too pretty.  I'm especially fond of the Dalek!

2 - Inspiration. - Sally @ Diario

I remember the days of lesson planning and trying to find new ways to engage pupils, and I think these fruit are bloomin' fantastic!  Inspiration indeed.

3 - Resolutions. - Ruth @ The Goldhawk Project

I had to do a double take when I saw this, but yes, it is a fabric tree!  I think Ruth's resolution to get out more and see mad things is definitely one that I should consider adopting.

4 - Retro. - Sally @ Diario

Another one from Sally!  I love this brass doorbell plate, especially the off centred names.

5 - Motifs:  Sequins. - Rach @ The Awesome Lady

How amazing are these!  I think if I owned these, I'd walk around constantly clicking my heels and proclaiming that there is no place like home.  Fabulous!

Thanks to everyone who took part - I'll see you back here in July!
